These terms describe use of MaterialTotals and are not legal advice.
Estimates only
Calculators provide informational quantity estimates only. They are not engineering, architectural, surveying, legal, financial, safety or code-compliance advice. Results depend on entered measurements, visible assumptions, product data, rounding and site conditions.
Verification before acting
You are responsible for checking inputs, formulas, drawings, product specifications and local requirements. Verify every result with an appropriately qualified professional or supplier before purchasing material, arranging delivery, starting work or making a safety-critical decision.
No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site, calculators, source registry and related services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability. MaterialTotals does not warrant that any estimate matches actual usage, supplier quantities or project requirements.
Saved project requests
Submitting a project request asks MaterialTotals to store the submitted contact, material, quantity and delivery information and to contact you about that request. Supplier matching is not currently active, and saved requests are not transmitted or sold to suppliers. If matching is introduced, the request form and privacy policy will identify the recipient before information is shared. These terms do not replace the specific consent shown beside the submission control.
Advertising, affiliate links and third parties
The site may display advertising or affiliate links and may receive compensation when users follow or transact through them. Third-party providers, suppliers and linked sites are responsible for their own services, terms, representations and privacy practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MaterialTotals and its operators, contributors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, material shortages or overages, delays, property damage or personal injury arising from use of or reliance on the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount paid to use the affected service or CAD $100.
Acceptable use and availability
Do not interfere with the service, probe security, submit unlawful or misleading information, impersonate another person, or use automated traffic that degrades availability. Calculators, integrations and content may change or be withdrawn without notice.
Governing law
